Saturday Sit and Sew 4th April 2020

Talented artist Kasia Jacquot will be our guest and she will share her love of embroidery over many years. Kasia enjoys working in natural textiles such as hemp, linen and silk, utilising traditional embroidery and silk screen printing. Kasia will have kits, materials and patterns for sale on the day.

We have invited the Wollongong Embroiderer’s to join us on the day and if you have a friend interested in embroidery, please invite them along.

Bring your own stitching on the day but please no sewing machines. At this stage I am not sure how long Kasia will speak for so I can’t guarantee how much machine sewing you would be able to do. It's a normal friendship day, so $5 for attendance to members and guests. Bring your cup and lunch and some spare dollars.More information will be given closer to the date.

Helping out disaster ravaged communities

Australian communities which have been affected by drought, fire and flood are often blessed with donated goods and money to help people get back on their feet and regain some semblance of normality. Businesses on the other hand need customers in order to keep their doors open which in turn helps the community by keeping people employed.

Only once it is safe and sensible to visit affected areas, consider visiting and spending time and money on a coffee, a weekend away, some fabric. . . or all three!

Please ensure you keep yourselves safe and check the local conditions before and during your visit.
