2021 Birthday Challenge - What makes ME smile?

I know for many of you, sitting in the sewing room might make you happy but it doesn't always make you smile. (speaking from personal experience). So, what really makes you smile? A special memory, a beautiful space, a pleasant aroma, a well-earned achievement.

I’m sure you all have a great idea bubbling away in the back of your mind so here are some guidelines to follow as you plan your quilt:

  • quilt must be A3 size when completed (landscape or portrait)

  • may be made with any materials e.g. cotton, wool, felt, etc.

  • consist of 3 layers and be quilted by hand, machine or both

  • be bound or closed on the edges

  • any embellishments must not protrude more than 1/2" from the quilt

  • be free of any text or images protected by copyright

  • a label on the back with your name

Smiling is contagious!!

Quilts will be displayed and judged at the March General Meeting 2021, and the winners will be announced on the night. And yes, there will be a prize for the winning entry.
